xEditor
Let the AI install xEditor for you
Install one app, open the folder with the xEditor file and paste one message. The AI does the rest in about 15 minutes. You don't need to know anything technical.
What you need
- A paid ChatGPT plan (Plus or higher). This one is required: xEditor runs inside Codex, which comes with ChatGPT, and ChatGPT creates the images for your videos. See ChatGPT plans
- A Windows 10 or 11 computer, or a Mac with macOS 13 or newer, with about 6 GB free.
- Good internet. The first install downloads about 2.5 GB.
- Your xEditor license key. It's in your Whop orders and in your purchase email.
- Optional: Claude Pro or Max. If you have it, xEditor also runs in Claude. Claude alone isn't enough, because the images come from ChatGPT.
Which app will you use to install and run xEditor?
Install in 4 steps

Install the ChatGPT app and sign in
Download the ChatGPT app for your computer, open it and sign in with the account that has your paid plan.
Install the Claude app and sign in
Download the Claude app for your computer, open it, sign in, and click the Code tab at the top of the sidebar.

Paste your license key and download xEditor
Your license key is in your Whop orders (choose xEditor) and in your purchase email. Paste it here, then download the file. Keep it as it is: don't unzip it. It usually goes to your Downloads folder.

Open that folder and paste one message
In the ChatGPT app, choose Codex. Open the folder where the xEditor file is (usually Downloads), start a new chat and paste the message below.
In the Code tab, click the folder button under the message box, choose Open folder and pick the folder where the xEditor file is (usually Downloads). Then paste the message below.
While the AI works- When the app asks for permission, click Allow. If you see "always allow in this chat", choose it.
- When your browser opens, sign in to ChatGPT. This happens twice.
- Keep the computer on and plugged in until the AI says xEditor is ready.

Make your first ad
When the AI says xEditor is ready, open the xEditor-videos folder in Codex (it's in your user folder), start a new chat and type

If something goes wrong
The install stopped or shows an error
Tell the AI what you see, in your own words, like "it stopped" or "there's an error". It finds the cause and fixes it on your computer. You can also ask it to "check if xEditor is installed" at any time.
It says my license key is in use on another computer
Each license key works on one computer. To move it, open your Whop orders, choose xEditor and reset the license key. Then ask the AI to activate xEditor again.
The app keeps asking me to allow things
That's expected. The AI is installing the video tools on your computer. Click Allow. Choose "always allow in this chat" if you see it, so it asks less.
My work computer blocks the download
Company networks and VPNs sometimes block the tools xEditor downloads. Use a home network for the installation, then it works anywhere.
I only have Claude, not ChatGPT
xEditor needs a paid ChatGPT plan, because ChatGPT creates the images for your videos. Claude alone isn't enough.
